Renjo-La pass trekking 13 Days
A trek in the Everest region is now considered to be one of the best journeys in the world, combining a strenuous trek with extremely rewarding cultural and ecological experiences. To make your journey exclusive, we take you to the little visited Renjo-La pass, which lies at 5390m through the beaten track for about 2 days on this trek and it is worth every minute, where you experience authentic Sherpa Culture, relatively untouched by the hustle of tourism in the main circuit. We stay in Sherpa homes in Thamo and Phortse, both stunning villages. Renjo-La pass trek offers a gradual ascent up the valley passing through patches of birch and rhododendron forest. The trail passes the small yak-grazing settlements to reach the Gokyo Lake with good time to savor the incredible scenery. From there we can observe the magnificent views of Everest (8848m), Makalu, Cho Oyo (8153m) and Lhotse (8511m) and many more.
Day 01: arrive in Kathmandu (1,345m) and transfer to hotel.
After your arrivals in the Kathmandu tribhuvan international airport you will be greeted by representatives from Zen Adventure Nepal treks. The representatives with you name board on the airport. You will be transfers to hotel. After check in to the hotel and rest for while you will be introducing with your guide who will take you next day sightseeing. In the evening you will go for welcome dinner with our team and enjoy dinner in Nepalese cultural music and dances.
Day 02: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley:
After having breakfast hotel, we take you for the sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley and your tour include tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Bauddhanath Stupa and will return to hotel and will have some free time to shop your trekking gear if you need. After check in to the hotel and rest for while you will be introducing with your guide and he will help you for preparation of trekking equipment.
Day 03: Kathmandu –Lukla(2840 m) -Phakding(2610m)3 -4 hours walk:
After breakfast, our guide will transferred you to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport in the early morning. With the finest views of Everest Himalayan ranges we will land to the gate way destinations called Lukla (2840 m) where we will begins our trips. After reaching to the tensing Hillary airport Lukla with 40 minutes flight above green hill surrounded by world’s high mountain peaks. We will meet our Potter and do some packing so staying over there for few minutes in Lukla & we will trek to Phakding. Stay Overnight at Phakding.
Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar(3440m) 5-6 hours walking:
Walking on the sides of dudh Koshi River on the beautiful pine forests crossing many suspension bridge we will able to catch the wonderful water fall, prospect of the Mt . Thamserku (6618 m). Passing the Benker and Monjo on the way, we will reach the entrance check post of Sagarmatha national park where your Park permits will be checked. After that we pass Jorsale the last before the Namche bazzar. The trails climbs up through pine forests and bridge until we reach the meeting of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi River. After ascent about 1 hour we will be able to see the first view of Mount Everest smiling peering over the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. We will stop few minutes for the view which could be good rest in climbing up as well. After that we still need to hike up about 1.5 hours to reach the Sherpa capital the gate way to Mt Everest.
Day 05: Namche bazaar –Acclimatization day
This is the scheduled followed by the each and every trekkers as it is the recommend by the health experts to have rest day and necessary to stay active and moving in the rest day instead to sitting idle. In the rest we can hike to the Khunde & Khumjung for relaxing and exploring the villages itself. Namche bazaar is the main center of the Everest (Khumbu) region and has government offices, ATM, internet café, shops, restaurant, a bakery and colorful markets each Friday evening and Saturday. Our trek guides will take you to tourist visitor’s center near the head quarter of the Sagarmatha national park where you can absorb things related to Everest ascenders, Sherpa culture and will also learn about various plant and animals. We also take an interesting side up to Khumjung village which can be best for acclimatize and we can found airs tap in syangboche. Just few minutes from there we can see the Everest view hotel wher lots of foreigners and especially Japanese come to stay during their Everest helicopter tour. Along with great view of Everest, Kongde, Thamserku and Khumbila then back to Namche village.
Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Dhole(4110m) 5-6 hours walking:
After having breakfast at lodge, we continue trekking to Dole by following the same route to Base camp until Sanasa then trail ascends up to Mongla (4000m.) from where, you will see panoramic views of various mountains, you trek steeply descend passing through Phortse Tenga and from there, the trail climb down Tongba & climbs steeply up to Dole, through rhododendron and birch forest festooned with hanging mosses and lichens, check in to the lodge.
Day 07: Trek from Dhole to Machhermo (4470m) 5-6 hours walking:
After having breakfast at lodge, we start trek and you will climb steadily along the side of the valley, where the small and thorny bushes give way to scrub juniper as the altitude increases, the trail passes many summer settlements, which are used when yaks are taken to these pastures to graze in the summer months, ahead of us are views of Tabuche and Choletsea, while back down the valley are the peaks of Kantega and Thamserku.
Day 08: Machhermo to Gokyo(4790m) 4-5 hours walking.
Today we are going to the Gokyo valley. During our walk we will pass three lakes know as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd lakes respectively & following one of the melt-water Rivers which flow down the west side of the Ngozumpa Glacier. We will able to see mountains Gokyo peak, Cho Oyu and many more. In the evening walk around lake and go for watching glaciers & stay in Gokyo.
Day 09: Rest day at Gokyo and Climb Gokyo Ri:
Gokyo is a trade Centre where the Sherpa people run lodges to provide the best services to the trekkers, and situated by the side of Ngozumpa glacier, the biggest glacier of Nepal. Today in the morning we will go to Gokyo Ri for the sunrise and Himalayan panorama view. We can see Everest, Cho Oyu,Makalu, Lhotse, Lhotse shar, and many others mountains. Not only mountains view we will be able to see the Renjo pass where we going the next morning. After come back from Gokyo Ri we will take lunch and take rest in the guest house.
Day 10: Trek form Gokyo Renjo Pass 5360m Thame(3800m) 6-7 hours walking:
Today, we will start bit early morning so that we will be able to reach top before the weather go worse. We will climb Renjo la pass, this is a truly amazing high pass in Everest region and is getting even more popular by the day, Views from Renjo La are much like that from Gokyo Ri with third Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Village beneath the gray smear of Ngozumpa Glacier. Continuing on from the pass, the trail winds down a stone staircase, the presence of ice on the trail while descending down can make our descent a bit hazardous. Along the way we see Relama Tsho and Renjo Lake. However, we walk down through a narrow valley clogged with giant boulders to Lumde where there is a support Lodge but it can be closed often, we have lunch there and trek down to Thame.
Day 11: Trekking form Thame to Namche Bazaar(3440m) 4-5 hours walking:
Today, we continue our trekking following the flat route and descending to first resting place Thamo after heading towards to Namche bazaar, We climb down after crossing a bridge after which we eventually reach Samde, The place offers breathtaking view, The path steeply descends down to Thamo village which hosts a monastery called Khari Gompa which is a nunnery being home to some nuns and monks, after passing through a check post, we come to the world’s highest hydroelectric power station built with Austrian help.
Day 11: Namche bazzar to lukla (2840 m) 6 hours walking.
The trails descend steeply downward by controlling the body. Having with good view of local’s villages and many flowers we will have lunch in phakding. Being climbing down on same way also makes you feel different and good. After a two weeks you will be in lukla and overnight stay over there and full board provided.
Day 12:Lukla to kathmandu
In the early morning after breakfast take a flight in the morning to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel and take rest. After some hours if you like you can go for the walk around the city. Or can take rest in hotel. You may also visit the local markets and buy the Nepalese items gifts for your friends and family. In the evening you may visit the office. If someone has flight in that day he will be transfers to the airport for departure.
Day 13: Transfer to the international airport for your final departure:
We will arrange your airport transfer today (or accompany you if you wish) at whatever time is appropriate.
